Skincare is SO personal. The product that your friend, or favourite influencer uses, may be a product that your skin doesn’t benefit from. 

Our lifestyles are all so different, and so is our skin. At a facial spa, we go over what your skincare concerns are in a thorough consultation. I then look at your skin, your concerns, lifestyle, environment and budget. They all play a part in what I recommend for treatments and your products for home. This ensures you stop wasting money, and get the results you’re looking for in a way that works into your life. 

80% of your results will come from you. You see yourself in the washroom to do your skincare every single day. I’ll only see you once every 4-6 weeks! Your products and your consistency will get you the results that you want. That’s why having the best skincare routine for YOU is so important. 

Treatments are amazing! But facials are the icing on the cake. Facials will help to boost your results since I can offer advanced treatments and professional products that are not available to you at home. Not only that, it allows us to re-examine your skin and see the results you're getting, and determine if changes need to be made.

When you come into our facial spa, I want you to feel completely relaxed and spoiled. 

We start your service with a consultation to go over any medical/health changes and to go over your concerns/needs. In our 90 min. Customized Facial, You’ll smell different essential oil blends and choose a scent that’s calling to you. 

I will step out of the room for you to get undressed and get comfortable in our cozy heated facial bed. 

In the 90 min. Signature Facial, we begin with aromatherapy and deep breathing. As you relax, I'll do a smoke cleanse and calm your energy. I then use a Crystal Singing Bowl for sound therapy, which can be healing and deeply relaxing. 

Then we get started with your customized facial. 

You can stay relaxed and take a nap, we can chat or I can explain what I’m doing during your facial. It’s your facial and totally up to you! I personally love seeing my clients melt into the facial bed and completely relax. You deserve it!

After your facial, I will provide some skincare product recommendations and lifestyle changes that enable you to manifest your dream skin.

Depending on your goals and current skin health, we will determine the best treatment plan and set up when your next appointment will be.

Before coming to your appointment, please have your Consultation Forms filled out. I know they can be time-consuming, but there are many factors to take into account, and your health and safety is of utmost importance. If your consultation forms have not been filled out before your appointment, you will be required to fill them out here at the medical aesthetics spa, and it will cut into your treatment time. 

It is best if you can come to your appointment without makeup on. If you’re not able to, it’s fine! Your cleansing may just take longer if you have any stubborn makeup. 

If you’re able to go makeup free for the day, that would be perfect! 

That night, use your new products and keep glowing! If you are wearing makeup, remember to double cleanse at night! Choose a creamy/oil cleanser to use first to remove your makeup. Then go in with your regular cleanser to get anything left remaining and to cleanse your skin now that your makeup is removed. 

Avoid direct heat for 24 hours. Examples are saunas, hot tubs, excessively hot showers, hot air dryers, tanning beds and sunlight.

Unless your medical aesthetician tells you otherwise, avoid exfoliating products for 72 hours.

Avoid smoking and alcohol. 

Use sunscreen every day!

How often you come is up to you! In your consultation we’ll go over your concerns and skincare goals, and I’ll help to create a personalized treatment plan just for you!

If we are working on correcting your skin, you may be coming into the skincare studio for treatments every 2-4 weeks at the beginning. 

If we are just working to maintain your skin health and relaxation, you might only need to come in seasonally. 

After your facial, you will immediately see your skin glowing, feeling hydrated and soft right away!

For corrective skincare concerns, such as acne treatment, anti-aging facial, hydrating facial, deep cleansing, scarring and pigmentation, you’ll start to see results in 4-6 weeks with a consistent and dedicated skincare routine at home. It takes time!

I recommend documenting your skincare journey with photographs. Take a picture before starting your new treatment plan and routine. Then take progress pictures at 4 weeks, 3 months, 6 months and 1 year.

Yes and no. It is not uncommon to break out after your visit to a facial spa, but it is usually not the facial that causes the acne. The breakouts you get after a facial were actually already there underneath your skin. They’re just hiding! Facials will often pull the acne up to the surface, which is ultimately good! This is called purging. 

A chemical peel is an advanced method of exfoliation. There are many types and strengths of chemical peels varying from gentle enough to use at home, to chemical peels that must be performed by a medical aesthetician or even a doctor. Chemical peels work at a deeper level in your skin to accelerate and maximize your results. 

Chemical peels are good for:

• diminishing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles

• improving texture/tone

• reducing pore size 

• reducing acne and acne scarring

• increasing hydration and moisture retention

• giving skin a smoother appearance and 

• diminishing the appearance of hyperpigmentation 

Layers of product are applied based on your unique skin composition and needs. Multiple treatments are often required in order to obtain optimal results spaced 2-6 weeks apart. Strict adherence to your curated skincare routine is required to receive advanced treatments.
